No play kitchen is complete without some play food. You could sit and hand sew tons of felt food or you could roll up a batch of deliciously cute sock doughnuts. Chocolate glazed, candy sprinkles, coconut flakes - how you adorn them with felt and embroidered French knots is totally up to you.

The doughnuts are so dang cute I want a batch to sit on my kitchen table or hang on the dining room walls. Blogger Kimberly said:

Not quite the same as sewing felt food, but still pretty cute, if I do say so myself. And if you don't have any kids to make them for, just make them for yourself as a fat free treat. We're all still on our New Year's diets, right?

It is pretty genius. I just threw away a bunch of funky patterned socks with holes in the toes I am now wishing I had kept.
