Women’s History Month Spotlight: Mother Jones

Mary Harris Jones, aka Mother Jones, was a dressmaker who immigrated to the United States from Ireland.. She was a fierce labor and community organizer, once called “the most dangerous woman in America.” Jones was mother to four children, all of whom died from yellow fever when Jones was thirty. She continued working for labor groups well into her 80s.
