A bit of trivia for you:
Q: Currently, 49 out of the 50 states have snow on the ground. Which state does not?
A: Florida
Q: What do children do in hopes of having a snow day?
A: Wear their pajamas backwards and inside out.
Q: Are we in the U.S. jealous of those of you who live in the U.K., Australia…?
A: YES!!!
If you, like me, are not fortunate enough to winter in Florida then you may have had some “time off” from work as schools were closed due to inclement weather. We’ve already used two of our three snow days and with the impending storm this week my backwards, inside out pajama wearing kids plan on staying home again mid week. Many schools have already used the allotted snow days resulting in fewer vacation days or days tacked on at the end of the year! Ugh for all. (Except Floridians and those of you outside the U.S.- lucky you!)
If you should happen to be snowbound this week, we urge you to spend some time watching our new interview (second in a series of four) with Jenny McCarthy, Butterfly’s January “Mom Mentor,” actress, author and founder of Too Good™ by Jenny. And then, after you’ve wiped up the snow that your children have tracked in for the 435th time, check out these new Butterfly mom member blogs:
