Solar Eclipse!

We welcome a New Moon today! This is a special New Moon: an eclipse. The annular Solar Eclipse occurs this evening after the Sun goes down, which means it won’t be visible in the United States. In fact, it will be visible only in some parts of Australia, but that doesn’t mean we won’t notice its effects. Aquarius is the focal point of all this energy — 17 degrees of Aquarius, to be exact. Not only does the eclipse happen here, indicating intensity and focus, but Mercury — which, you’ll remember, is retrograde right now — also lies at this degree today, creating exact conjunction with both Sun and Moon. Communications are sure to be highlighted, and because the Moon (feelings) is blocking the Sun (awareness), they’ll probably be emotional, despite the cerebral Aquarius influence. If your birthday is today, these influences will stay with you till your next birthday. Also strongly affected are people born on or around May 8, August 10 or November 10.

The New Moon/Eclipse occurs at 7:44 PM Pacific Time at 17 Aquarius. The Moon remains in Aquarius all day.

There are 2 aspects today:
Sun conjunct Mercury. This is a great time to read, study, do research and delve into areas of interest. Meet and greet people but don’t try to pin them down.

Venus sextile Uranus: Any number of fun activities are suggested by this frisky, flirtatious transit. A party with a wide range of people is the perfect solution.

Regards,

KT
