Happy New Year to you! It is that time of the year, after the holiday season of eating, and the start of a new calendar with new year weight loss resolutions! The tempertures are cooler, soup is the perfect meal for the Winter. Many people during January want to jumpstart their diet and do not have much time to spare. Soup is a mobile meal and soup can satisfy the family budget as well.
A cup of soup allows you to control the portion size you consume. And it allows you to take it with you - use a travel mug, sip and nibble at your desk. Frozen vegetables added to a clear broth or tomato base can add more dimension to your soup combo. Depending on what you purchase, or what you make, soups are low calorie and low sodium, allowing you to feel full but there is still room for dessert without the guilt. A bowl of soup now, dessert later.
