I know there's a "report as spam" link for comments - is there one for posts?
Thanks,
-Bob

Because we have never needed it in the past, we do not have a report blog post spam link on blog posts. It's on my list of things to change in the future.
Luckily, we are still seeing very little spam make it through the filter - and at this point, we haven't even activated the "big filter" for blog posts.
Thanks for reporting the spam.

Found it using Google (http://www.blogher.com/member/maria-niles). For some reason, I keep clicking on your link in the posts and comments! Unfortunately, that just brings up the 'other profile page' which does not have a contact form.
anyhow....

The signing up seems to be a good deterrent itself. It's really remarkable how few spams slip through the filter.
Keep in mind that you can email me (use the contact form on my profile) and at night I'm on the west coast spam fighting while Denise is asleep in the east.
Also I've noticed that the spammers here often set up accounts as tests, wait a bit and then hit with the spam later so they are determined little buggers who would be unlikely to stop the effort. But I'm sure a waiting period can be added to the list of changes to consider if the problem gets worse.
Thanks again for the heads up.
Hi Maria and Jen,
I sent Denise a few emails about the spam before finally posting here. Unfortunately, I'm still of the opinion that as BlogHer grows, so will the spam. Once again, implementing a waiting period for new members to be able to post has proven to be an effective deterrent for DailyKos (http://www.blogher.com/node/20752). Moderating initial posts by new members in forums such as Yahoo! Groups also is widely adopted. The argument that doing in kind would somehow hamper BlogHer makes no sense to me - if it did, then DailyKos would have scrapped it long ago, right?

Hi Bob,
I don't think there is a link for posts. Best bet is to contact Denise, me or use the general site contact form.
I'll see if I can remove the post but it might have to wait for Denise in the morning.
Thanks,
Maria
Gee, I can't imagine why you'd want to get rid of the welding post. Surely that's applicable to BlogHer's?
In all seriousness though, good point.
