Day 1 and I'm Still in the Grove!

Well, today I prepared the first recipe for healthy eating.  It turned out that I really like quinoa and black lentils.  Here's the recipe I came up with:(I have always found it difficult to cook for one person so, this is a recipe for 1 serving although you will have lots of quinoa and black lentils leftover, they will be used in future recipes.)Black Lentils with Quinoa and White Balsamic Vinaigrette SaladBy Lady Elizabeth TIngredients:Garden greens1 cup quinoa1 3/4 cups water...more

Celebrate YOU!

The media bombards us with images of women who are pencil thin, who look flawless 24 hours a day, and who manage all of their myriad responsibilities without ever breaking a sweat. We often fall into the trap of believing the hype and setting unrealistic expectations for ourselves. Added to that, on a daily basis we are asked to live up to the expectations of our spouses, our children, our extended families; sometimes even our friends and neighbors. ...more
