Putting country first

As we head into the final hours of the 2008 presidential campaign, millions of voters will make the final decision as to whether they should cast their ballot for president for Senator McCain or Barack Obama. For me, the decision has been easy: I’m supporting Senator McCain, because I believe that he is best prepared to lead our country through the tremendous challenges we face, both at home and abroad.  Read more >

A critical choice

Tomorrow, Americans will head to the polls and elect the next president of the United States.  The choice they will make is critically important, because the two candidates present very different paths for the United States, especially where the economy is concerned.  As a former U.S.  Read more >

A Bold Prediction: White Americans Will Elect a Black President

Most white Americans will not vote for Barack Obama. No Democratic candidate for president has received a majority of white votes since Lyndon Johnson won in a landslide 44 years ago. But more white voters than voted for John Kerry, Al Gore and even Bill Clinton will vote for Obama on Tuesday if polls are correct. And they will join a majority of black, Asian American, Latino and Native American voters in a coalition that will make history on Tuesday.  Read more >

Proposition 8

Whether you support or oppose Proposition 8, the proposed amendment to the California Constitution to define marriage as between a man and a woman, you ought to do it deliberately. Making a deliberate choice means not only checking "yes" or "no", but doing so with the consequences  of that choice in full view, and accepting them. A Green-Collar Democrat for McCain-Palin

With just over a week until Election Day and our economy in disarray, it’s little surprise that the economic policies of both John McCain and Barack Obama have come into sharp focus for many Americans.  This has, of course, been aided by the emergence of Joe the Plumber as a major figure in the presidential campaign — though he is hardly the only current or prospective small-business owner looking closely at what the candidates are pledging to do to move the economy forward.  Since the beginning of the race, as the owner of a small business (and a Democrat), I have been carefully revi  Read more >

Why My Vote is for Barack Obama

Since I’ve been of age to vote, I’ve neglected to exercise that right as an American. My reasons ranged from apathy toward the political process as a whole to cynicism of the politicians swimming in those particular murky depths. The agenda’s have been set and my one lone voice had little impact, I believed, and left the rest of the population to analyze and speculate.  Read more >

The Obama Truth Squad

I found the link to another version of this video on Tammy Bruce's website. I found it very disturbing... is this the CHANGE Obama speaks about? Is this what he wants his followers to believe in? The Obama Truth Squad is his first stab at taking away our freedoms. Please watch this video.  Read more >

The Presidential Race in Missouri

There is just over a month to go until the presidential election, and across America, attention is now firmly fixed on the state of our economy. In key swing states, economic issues are now front and center. Many voters, including many women, who often take responsibility for managing their family finances, are wondering which candidate offers the best policies for their family, their town or city, and their state. But in my state, the way that each woman decides to vote could prove especially critical and indeed determinative.  Read more >

I Hate Sarah Palin!

As an advocate for girls let me make the following plea on behalf of your daughter: Please, please, please speak respectfully of the one and only female candidate the Repubican Party has ever put on their ticket for Vice President of the United States - Sarah Palin. What you say about Sarah Palin has the potential to translate to your daughters as your opinion of all women (including your daughter) seeking power.  Read more >
