This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Closet Confidental. If you're following fashion blogs, and you aren't already reading Daddy Likey, then you are missing out. Fashion can be "serious business" (lighten up, it's just fashion!), but Winona keeps it smart, hysterical, and grounded at the same time.
This is a compensated review from BlogHer and DDF.This will come as a shock to no one, but I don't get nearly enough sleep. In my 20s, I could go weeks without proper rest and still look fresh; these days, one night of a kid up at 3:00 am with a bloody nose and I have dark circles under my eyes for a week.

This is a compensated review from BlogHer and Tree Hut.I have a not-so-secret love of exfoliating scrubs; I use them on my hands and face and body. And yes, I have a different scrub for each of those parts, because not all skin is created equal. Body scrubs are the hardest to find, I think, because while the basic formula is so simple (something grainy + something moisturizing) it can be difficult to get the right balance.

I'll admit it. When it comes to awards shows, I'm rarely all that interested in who wins. I only care about who wore what, how they accessorized, and what they did with their hair. I've spent many a Golden Globes texting and emailing with friends to ooh and ahh over who looked particularly fabulous and share snarky comments about those who might want to fire their stylist. But, last night was the first time I held a red carpet Emmys party, and I owe it all to Suave!

First, let me deal with the elephant in the room. Mention pregnancy and skincare and all that people want to know boils down to one thing: How do I prevent stretch marks? My answer to you is ... I don't believe you can.(Sorry.)

As a little girl, whose makeup did you most admire? For me, it was the 80s, and I loved my mom's blue eyeshadow. But it was always Barbie with that perfect swipe of purple (or blue, or green) on her eyelid that fascinated me. The color and application was so perfect, so pure. And now Stila is offering that same look to all of us.

We're all watching our budgets these days, and that can be stressful. A spa day would make it all better, but that's not realistic if you're watching your pennies. Instead, think about splurging (just a little) on really wonderful products for home beauty. In other words, bring the spa home to you.

Casual wear can be tough, for men and women. Guys often get stuck at the shoe part of the outfit -- after all, most men own dress shoes and tennis shoes and very little in between. Help a guy (your brother or spouse or son or neighbor) out and steer him toward some cool athletic inspired shoes, for those in between occasions.

My kids went back to school this week (envious? you should be!) which means that we've been talking about how to say healthy in the classroom. In addition to worrying about the normal cold and flu stuff, this year we're extra conscious of the swine flu threat, so I've reminded the boys about washing their hands very carefully and not touching their mouth or eyes or nose. I also sent them off to school with a wee tiny bottle of hand sanitizer, just in case.
