Spend Less Save More: How to get More FREE

As couponers we know that there are just things we know we can receive free when we use coupons. If you have visited my coupon matches page you know that there are things you can get free every week. These are just a few you should keep an eye on.

Trial sizes: When coupons do not exclude trial/travel size items, you can usually get them free! Look for the section in your store that has small bins or baskets with trial-sized versions of products priced around $1.00. If your coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the cashier will usually need to adjust the price of the coupon down to meet the product’s cost in most store so refer to your store policy.

Oral Care: Toothpaste and toothbrushes are free just about every month at the national drugstores usually when combining rewards and coupons. Floss is often free when $1.00/1 coupons are available.  Nivea lip balm when a sale is paired with a $3.00/2 coupon can be free to less than a quarter. Gum and mints are frequently as low as free the price ranges from .35¢ to free. Glucose meters: Often free after rewards and or rebates.

Office supplies such as printer paper can be found free after rebates and coupons at most office supplies store at the end and beginning of school years. Using rebates for these stores are easy as most offer online rebates so no mailing is required saving on postage.  As far as pens such as Bic Pens $1/1 pack are available often and most of us know you can get those free at Wal-Mart or any dollar store.

Personal care items keep a watch for feminine pads and liners, nail files, mini first aid kits and single use heat wraps. In the winter, look for free-after-rewards cold medicine.

Samples are the most easily obtained freebie.  Your free items often come with a coupon to use on your next purchase. Favorites include shampoo/conditioner, single serve food such as granola bars, cereal, crackers, gum etc, feminine products, lotion, laundry detergent/fabric softener, artificial sweeteners and perfume/cologne.  Check out the home page for the daily freebie and if you missed a day check out the freebie page they are there for about a week or until they are no longer available.
