Spend Less Save More: Organize with Envelopes
By spendlesssavemore on May 22, 2013
Now that you’ve gone to our download page printed out your inventory and shopping list, have clipped your coupons and made your shopping list you may have found out that you don’t have many coupons for this shopping trip. If you decide you don’t need to take your large binder with you remember that you still have to stay organized so use your envelopes.
Use an envelope for each store that you shop. Write the name of the store on the front. I write the items I’m picking up at that store on the envelope so if I lose my shopping list at least I know what to look for. Envelopes are a great option especially if you happen to find blinkies or store coupons on your trip you can place them in an envelope so you know where they are you know once something goes in your purse well at least mine it may not find its way out again.
Now if you use primarily envelopes you may still want to keep your binder in your car in case you run into a sale or clearance item you have coupons for. I actually have binder with an outer zip pocket so I take my binder in the store and keep my envelopes in by zipper pocket this way I can simply place any other coupons I need in the envelope for check out. This helps because this means I always have the store coupon policy with me. The envelope to me just makes check out easier on me and it helps to know how many coupons I have to make keep track of when my transaction is being scanned.
