Saint Patrick’s Day Pub Sign
I needed a new St. Paddy’s Day sign for my front door. This is what I came up with.
You will need:
- Old picture frame (remove the glass), use cardboard backing for your chalkboard
- chalkboard spray paint
- craft paint for your frame
- Irish saying
First, spray paint the cardboard backing of your frame with chalkboard spray paint. 2 coats.
Next, sand and paint the picture frame the color you desire. I have a dark green front door, so I used white.
Then, tie ribbons on the frame and insert chalkboard backing.
Lastly, write an Irish saying with chalk. I was home with a sick kid and could not go to the store, so I scrounged around and used what I had on hand. I don’t think the chalk will “erase” easily. I haven’t tried yet. This can be adapted for any holiday or season. Have fun with it!
