Stacy Morrison is editor in chief and Director of Content Programming for BlogHer, as well as a writer, author, blogger, mother, and consultant in New York City. Before moving to BlogHer, Morrison was a magazine editor for 20 years, most recently editor-in-chief of Redbook magazine (2004-2010), Executive Editor of Marie Claire, Founding Editor in Chief of ONE (a short-lived design magazine), Editor in Chief at Modern Bride, and more. During each of those positions, Morrison oversaw digital properties for each. Morrison is a sought-out expert on women in America, and has made numerous appearances on the Today Show, among other TV programs. She is author of Falling Apart in One Piece: One Optimist’s Journey Through the Hell of Divorce, which Kirkus Reviews called “candid and inspiring.” She is at work on her second book.

Morrison is also a dedicated domestic violence awareness advocate and has received numerous awards and honors for her work in this field, including the Safe Horizon Champion Award and the National Domestic Violence Hotline Vital Link Award. She recently became a founding board member of the non-profit Violence UnSilenced, a safe online community where abuse survivors can share their stories and receive community support.
