How StriVectin-SD Has Changed My Skin

I have been using StriVectin-SD products as a system and with consistency last summer. Emphasis: system and with consistency. After years of searching, experimenting, consulting dermatologists and estheticians... and a great deal of spending - I have finally found THE THING that works for me. I am a new-to-forty-year-old woman who has struggled and struggled... not only with adult acne, but also hyperpigmentation. Oh. And now there are wrinkles rearing their crinkly seams....more

My Skincare Tips

People are often shocked when I tell them my age. Nobody ever guesses that I'm 50; they usually guess I'm in my 30s. And then they always ask, "What do you do?!" This happens a lot at conferences especially... and for awhile now I've been thinking that I should write a few posts about my health and beauty routine. StriVectin asked me to be a part of their "Celebrate Healthy Skin" campaign, and I was happy to take part in it since I use their products anyway....more

Having a Good Skincare Regimen

I was recently asked to try StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks & Wrinkles. As a woman in her forties, I'm always looking for skin care products that will help with wrinkles and signs of aging. It's important to me to use products that help with my aging skin. Having a good skin care regimen has been a priority for me since I was in my early twenties. I knew that taking care of my skin in my 20s and 30s would help my skin look and feel better as I began my 40s and beyond....more

Celebrate Healthy Skin

It's never too soon or too late to start a good skincare regimen. However, as we age, the traditional 3-step cleansing toning and moisturizing may not be enough. After 40, our skin loses elasticity, collagen and moisture so we need to incorporate additional "weapons" to our skincare arsenal to keep skin healthy and youthful. StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks and Wrinkles provides hydration in a powerful anti-aging treatment....more

The Telltale Signs of Aging

I must admit I was pretty excited when the FedEx driver delivered a bottle of StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate, a product claiming to improve stretch marks and wrinkles. While still enjoy a fairly youthful appearance at the age of 40, I've begun to notice that the telltale signs of aging are beginning to appear around my eyes and mouth. As my collagen levels begin to be depleted it is suddenly apparent that I need something to help restore my skin's firmness....more

Taking Care of My Skin

When I was a teenager and in my early twenties, my skin care regimen consisted of terribly bad things, like dousing my face with rubbing alcohol to try to clear my pores and get rid of the oils in my skin I believed were "clogging my pores." I cringe now when I think of how poorly I cared for my skin in my earlier days. It wasn't until I turned 30 that I begin to take care of my skin and learned the value of having a good skin care regimen....more

Let's Talk About Skincare

I'm going to be completely straight with you here, my skin gives me more trouble now at 36 than it did at 16. I have to wash my face religiously twice a day or will break out. I stick to very gentle face cleansers. It's so dry here and harsh cleansers will make my skin peel and that's the opposite of cute. Also the opposite of cute? Wrinkles. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with them; it's part of life. I just don't really want that part of life hurtling at me quite so quickly....more

40-ish Skin

As I'm getting older I find that I'm not really loving the changes in my skin. On the other hand my hubby, bless his heart, looked at this picture of me and said I've hardly changed since we first met when I was 17. I appreciate his admiration, but I still find myself wishing I wasn't adding wrinkles along with the new wisdom. When I was asked if I'd be game to review StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Stretch Marks & Wrinkles, I was more than willing....more

The Woes of Aging

I have never owned a wrinkle cream… and before a year ago, I had no interest in them. Then something happened. It seemed like my face aged exponentially in just a couple year's time. To the point that, for a while, all I could see was my new wrinkles when I saw a picture of myself. Then I noticed my eyelids were starting to sag. What?! I'm not yet thirty, why are my eyelids sagging?! Maybe this is normal. And maybe everybody goes through this aging crisis and overreacts a wee bit....more

Preparing For Our Show

Hey Friends! Today I want to talk about something that is a little bit taboo. Generally I keep this blog very focused on design, but today I am going to step outside of that category. As many of you know, Tim and I are working on getting our design show ('Til Design Do Us Part) on the air! We have sent out our sizzle reel to a number of networks and hope to be taking the next step very soon. Tim and I really feel like the timing is right and we've been trying to prepare ourselves in every way possible....more
