Style Inspiration: Brigitte Bardot
Brigitte Bardot style is a style that never goes out of fashion. It’s a perfect mix of French chic and sex appeal. Her clothes was rather simple than luxurious and she always preferred classic pieces like crop tops, simple day dresses, high waisted jeans and trousers or simple striped t-shirts, very often with the touch of boho. She was rarely seen in high heels and she often confessed preference of going barefoot. In 1956, Brigitte Bardot – who trained as a ballerina – asked Rose Repetto to make her a shoe that was as delicate and easy to wear as a dance slipper but suitable for everyday life. She brought the ballet flat in a much more feminine version, from the studio out onto the street. Classic pieces mixed together with some ultra feminine elements like messy hair, black hairband or big head bow and heavy eyeliner are the key to her iconic style.
