Summer movies! They're arriving as we speak, and to help you navigate blockbuster season, here's my preview of the summer movies I gotta see, the ones I'd see for a good friend or with a hot date, and the ones you couldn't pay me to watch.

Movies I Gotta See

Shrek Forever After: Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy -- May 21

Shrek, Fiona and Donkey are all back for this final -- or so the producers say -- film in the franchise. Just listening to Eddie Murphy as Donkey is worth the price of a ticket.

Sex and the City 2: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrell, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon -- May 27

I wasn't very enthusiastic when the first Sex and the City movie came out, but it's hard to resist a cultural phenomenon. So I'll be there to see what Carrie and the gals are up to during their latest adventure.

The Karate Kid: Jaden Smith, Jackie Chan -- June 11

Will and Jada's adorable son Jaden stars in this remake of the 1984 Ralph Maccio and Pat Morita classic. Will and Jada produced the film and packed up the entire family so they could shoot on location in China. Based on the trailer, the film looks beautiful and Jaden and Jackie Chan? A can't-miss combination.

The Kids Are All Right: Annette Bening, Julianne Moore -- July 7

A lesbian couple's teen children decide to find the sperm donor who represents their father and the resulting search incites all kinds of family drama. With these two fabulous actresses, maybe this one will be a keeper.

Inception: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard -- July 16

Directed by Christopher Nolan of Dark Knight and Memento fame, Inception's plot has been shrouded in secrecy. It's a sci-fi mindbender that involves dreams, and that's literally all anyone knows. Can't wait.

Eat Pray Love: Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem -- August 13

I'm even more excited about seeing this movie after hearing Elizabeth Gilbert speak at Oprah's Live Your Best Life Weekend. Gilbert wrote the book the movie is based on about learning to break out of the ordinary and embrace life.

Movie I Would See For A Good Friend

The Twilight Saga, Eclipse: Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson -- June 30

Y'all may know I wasn't impressed with New Moon. So to subject myself to another round of Taylor Lautner's admittedly buff chest, Robert Pattinson's brooding stare and Kristen Stewart's drippy dramatics disguised as a movie, it would have to be for a very good friend. Very good.

Movies I Would See For A Hot Date

Salt: Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber -- July 23

According to Entertainment Weekly, this spy thriller was originally supposed to star Tom Cruise, but Cruise thought the character was a little to close to Ethan Hunt in his Mission Impossible movies. So the producers changed the main character to a woman and cast Angelina Jolie. I'm not a big Jolie fan but for a hot date, I'd spend two hours watching her run from the law.

Piranha 3D: Jerry O'Connell, Elisabeth Shue -- August 27

See, this movie would usually fall into my next category, but like with Jolie, for a hot date, bring on the piranhas.

Movies You Couldn't Make Me See On Point of Death

Marmaduke: Owen Wilson, Judy Greer -- June 4

Love dogs, hate the cartoon.

The A Team: Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson -- June 11

Love Bradley Cooper, hate the idea of the movie.

Grown Ups: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock - June 25

Love Chris Rock, hate Adam Sandler.

Movies That Might Make Me Laugh, But Not In A Good Way

MacGruber: Will Forte, Ryan Phillippe -- May 21

All those SNL MacGruber sketches co-starring guest host Betty White were glorified promos for this movie. But they were funny, and Lorne Michaels can thank Betty for the fact that I'm even considering plunking down money for this one.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time: Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton -- May 28

This movie has all the makings of the second coming of Brad Pitt's Troy. It happens all the time: An otherwise excellent actor decides he has to do a summer blockbuster

I've heard some people say Julia Roberts isn't right for the lead role, but we'll just have to see.

I want to see sex and the city. I was fan of the show. I also want to see eat, pray, love. I loved the book and I always thought it would be a good movie.

SATC2 is a definite for me and the girls this weekend. Still want to see Robin Hood, and I may go for Inception and Eat, Pray, Love, as well.

After last year's bounty of Meryl Streep and more Meryl Streep, it's good to see that this year there are still movies out there for people who aren't 14 year old boys!

I love Jake--I've been known to drool while watching "Brokeback Mountain"--but this one has "mistake" written all over it.

I hope they prove me wrong.

Definitely SATC2 and Inception. Eat Pray Love was such a good book and I'm hoping the movie doesn't ruin it for me!!
You put into words EXACTLY how I feel about the Prince of Persia: "It might make me laugh, and not in a good way." Will be staying far, far away from it!
