Usually, my summers consist almost exclusively sitting in my backyard, reading. My job and my newly invigorated social life (not even being sarcastic, for once…my weekends have mostly been packed with fun things this summer) do not allow me to casually read as much as I used to, though. I have found the time to read a few books this summer: Here are the books I read and loved:
Summer is here, and I'm looking forward to long, lazy days of reading. My hammock chair has been installed in our maple tree, which will throw of plenty of shade on even the hottest of days. The only thing left to do is choose my reading material. Here are six new titles that have caught my attention and I hope you'll enjoy them this summer. Make yourself some Pimmsicles, select your summer reading spot, and get ready to go on an adventure with one (or more!) of these books....more
When I think about nonfiction reads for the summer, I always return to books that are both a lot of fun to read and that don’t take a lot of brainpower to parse through. Maybe it’s the way summer always feels magical, like anything can happen....more
Summer is here and not only are the days long, but the evenings feel longer with so little on the television to tempt you. While we acknowledge that Bunheads might just be a summer wonder (not based on the book Bunheads), it feels like we've been watching reruns for months. What should you do when dinner is over and you are ready to ready to relax at the end of a long hot day? Read a book, of course! I've dug through the summer release lists and picked out five books I think can help you get through those long summer evenings.
