Sunday Short-term Goals - A day late

Sorry y’all for being a day late, but I was so excited about moving to just one band on my pull-up program that I forgot to update my goals for this week.

Before I start, I think you should all get to share in the thing of beauty that I am right now – as I write this. Prepare to be amazed. As I’ve mentioned before, I suffer from insomnia quite regularly.  So tonight, I am at a sleep clinic, where I will try to sleep while they monitor my nocturnal activities through electrodes currently strapped to my head. Trust me, it is as sexy as it looks…see?

So I didn’t do fantastically on my last weeks short term goals.  I did accomplish #1 and 2 – I went to Crossfit 4x and I did my pull-up program 4 times, but I did not go to the Grocery store, #3, before we ran out of food and consequently we ate delivery and junk food quite a bit.

To be honest, I couldn’t really tell you why some weeks I eat well and am focused on nourishing my body and other weeks, all I want to do is eat popcorn and M&Ms…together…trust me, it’s delicious…also good with Smarties..but I digress.  Last week, was not a good week for eating healthy and I can definitely feel it in my workouts…especially now that I have moved down to just one band for my pull up program.

But it is super important that I don’t use these short-term goals to beat up on myself or feel guilty. They are something that I do to try and help myself live a healthier, happier life. There is no place for guilt or self-recrimination.  Just a commitment to keep trying.

So for this week, my 3 short-term goals are:

1) Go to CF 4 x a week and do my pull-up program (essentially these are the same goal so I’m merging them)

2) Spend at least 10 mins 3x a week without external stimulation

3) eat at least one healthy snack (fruit or vegetable) every day.

Again, not overly ambitious but good things that will help me live better.
