Super Bowl Party Food!
By MarryMint on January 23, 2014
Today I'm linking up with Kaitlyn and Brittany to share some of our favorite game day recipes. Definitely check out their blogs if you are hosting a Super Bowl party for tons of recipe ideas!
Living in Alaska we have some serious price mark up concerns. One of the items that are significantly more expensive here are chips. You know those $2 bags of chips that every grocery story carries in the lower 48? Yeah, not here. A bag of chips costs us no less than $5!! That being said, when we buy chips we mean business. These are our two favorite dip recipes to go with our
stupidly expensive chips:
Side note: Neither of these recipes are my own. GASP! Look, my cooking has come a long way since I got married. By that I mean I'm now at the point where I can sufficiently follow a recipe. If I add my own spices...well, I think I'm just the sh*t. The first recipe I learned from one of my best friends Ashlie. I went to her apartment in college to watch a football game and she served this. I'm not sure if its actually called CRACK dip, but that's what Kyle and I call it...if you make it you'll understand. The second recipe...I have no idea where that one came from. Probably somewhere in the depths of google. 'Sausage Dip' is another name made up by me and Kyle since we can't remember the name of that one either. What I do know is that its really really good.
Of course no football game, or sporting event for that matter, is complete without beer. Kyle has kind of turned into a bit of a "beer snot." He likes to experiment but gravitates towards brown ales. [Right now Kyle has Moose Drool in the fridge.] I on the other hand am stuck in college and drink Bud Light
maybe that's why I think Kyle is a beer snot.
What are some of your 'go to' game day recipes?
Happy Thursday everyone! :)
