What is your favorite leafy, green, vegetable? What do you grab at the store when you have a taste for greens and it is a week night and you don't have much time to cook? This is a tough question for me... spinach, kale, and swiss chard are my favorites! If I am short on time, I reach for swiss chard. I swish swiss chard! Take two bunches of swiss chard, trim the ends, and pick through the leaves. Swish them in a sink of cold water to rinse any dirt or sand off the leaves.  Rinse, maybe once, maybe twice. With a paper towel, pat dry. Prepare your saute pan. Within ten minutes or less, you have steamed or sauteed swiss chard. After a swish in the water and a swish around the pan a few times, you will have a healthy, green, side dish for you and your family to enjoy!
