O'Dwyers Magazine, a trade publication for the PR industry, recently noted how many sponsors brought causes and social good initiatives to BlogHer this year. We wanted to share with you the results of one such initiative, and let you know you can still be a part of it.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but sadly, millions of Americans go without it every day. There are more than 17 million children in the United States who are threatened with hunger and food insecurity.

Jimmy Dean has joined the No Kid Hungry® Campaign to make a lasting impact, nourishing the potential of kids everywhere by fighting hunger and promoting the benefits of breakfast. Working in tandem with Share Our Strength, Jimmy Dean is committed to helping end childhood hunger in the United States by 2015.

At BlogHer '11 in San Diego, Jimmy Dean set a goal of gathering 500 pledges from BlogHer attendees and achieved that goal within the first 24 hours! Ultimately, 1,104 attendees took the No Kid Hungry Pledge at the Jimmy Dean booth, which connected over 10,000 children with 10 breakfasts each. That's 100,000 breakfast served!

The best part is that Jimmy Dean is still going! Please visit Jimmy Dean's Facebook page to learn more about the partnership and take the No Kid Hungry pledge.
