Searching for a smooth transition through your digital life?

With much of our time now spent in destination to somewhere: vacation, school, the morning commute - it's not surprising that more and more people are investing in some type of mobile device.

So, what kind do you get? Laptop, eReader, tablet...upgrade to a smartphone? Answering that question usually involves a bit of research and energy.

Investing the time to compile numerous web searches, reviews, and a lot of other people's opinions (solicited or not) may help you make your final decision, (After all, satisfaction in our purchasing decision can't truly be achieved without effort right?), however having the device is only half the equation.

Today's internet, specifically wireless access to it, has opened up enormous options. From entertainment to task execution, even those short commuter minutes are a time to cross a few to-dos off the list.

That's why the software (apps) you choose is just as important to the end experience as the type of device you purchase. Knowing what to look for will not only prevent buyers remorse, but could actually make owning a mobile device fun.

Sync...or Sunk?

Mobile usage is about progression and experience. Moving forward regardless of the task. Reading a book, watching a movie, working; at the end of the experience we are looking for either accomplishment or enjoyment. If we find neither - it's most certainly frustration that finds us.

Our online browsing experience is no different. Saved bookmarks have become almost as important as our phone contacts in terms of saving time. Though mobile devices are continually advancing, typing on one is neither quick nor painless, especially on the second or third try because you hit the wrong button.

Enter Firefox Sync

If you already use Firefox you might be familiar. For the rest who may wonder what difference a desktop browser makes in navigating the web, try it out, I'm confident you will agree...it makes quite a bit of difference.

Firefox sync is a service that syncs all the bookmarks from your desktop browser with your mobile devices. Once you've completed the simple four step process, access the bookmarks on your phone, tablet or laptop. Also any changes you make to your bookmarks will update within seconds on all your synced devices.

    Just follow these simple steps:
  1. If your not a Firefox user, download the latest version to your computer's desktop.
  2. Open the browser's preferences and find Sync in the menu.
  3. Create a Sync account with an email address and password.
  4. Select Add a Device and follow the instructions.

Discover how easy it is by trying it for yourself. Next time you have to do an online website search you'll be glad you did.
