Tanya Wenman Steel is editor-in-chief of Epicurious.com, the most award-winning food site on the web, with 62 honors including three American Society of Magazine Editor Awards, an Emmy, and two consecutive James Beard Awards for best food web site (2008 and 2009). She was inducted into the Digital Hall of Fame in 2010.
A publishing industry veteran, having served as an editor for many years at Bon Appétit and Food & Wine magazines, Steel herself won the prestigious James Beard Foundation Journalism Award for Magazine Restaurant Review or Critique (2003), and wrote frequently for The New York Times. She is a regular on many national television programs, including the Today show, The Early Show, Hell's Kitchen, MasterChef, and Iron Chef. Steel is the co-author of the award-winning Real Food for Healthy Kids (HarperCollins). Born in London and raised in New York City, she is the proud mother of identical 13-year-old twin boys.
