Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick: Gorgeous Eco-friendly Packaging
By neversaydiebeauty on April 27, 2014
Tarte is a cruelty-free brand that emphasizes natural ingredients. Along those lines, they are trying to come out with more earth-friendly packaging. The Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick line that launched in late winter has eco-friendly cardboard tubes with absolutely gorgeous floral patterns on them. I love the packaging, and haven't had any problem with it. I guess if you drop it in the sink, you could be in trouble, but otherwise, it works the same as any other lipstick tube. And the floral patterns are gorgeous.
The line has 8 shades, and I bought my favorite shade, Pink Peony. I keep buying this shade over and over again in just about every brand that makes it. This one is semi-sheer. It's more of a lip balm than a lipstick.
My only problem with it is that it contains peppermint oil which my lips find incredibly drying rather than hydrating. Boo hoo! Otherwise, I'd be wearing this every day.
