I've partnered with Tastykake to bring you a delicious Chocolate Donut Milkshake recipe. Perfect for the whole family, or a special treat for game day! In my house, football exists. With having 4 girls vs 2 boys in the house, we tend to overtake the television with TLC and Disney. However, occasionally my son and husband will be allowed to turn on a football game. Especially when it's a game between the Bears and Bengals. Even though we live in Cincinnati, we are still Chicago at heart! Of course serving some Deep Dish Pizza is a must at our Game Day get togethers with friends!...more
We are pretty excited for football season around here! We're pretty major BYU fans, as many of you know. But this year, we're also SVU fans! My husband goes to school at Southern Virginia University, and this year my brother and his wife transferred to SVU too! My brother is playing on the football team, and we are super excited to get to see him play!...more
I love family. I’m very fortunate to have such a great one. My husband and I recently moved back to our home state after living away for 8 years. While we were out of state we had such great experiences, but I’m so glad to be back with family....more
Fall football parties have kind of become a tradition for us, something we look forward to every year when September rolls around. Brett and I aren't crazy die-hard football fans, but we do love to watch a good game, get together with friends, and eat good food doing so. We have our teams we like to follow (go BYU and OSU), but really football is just an excuse to have a party :) Agreed?? Especially a party that dishes a load of Tastykake treats and Tastykake Cake Shakes (!!!!)...more
We are a football family. By "we" I mean my husband and most likely, since they are male, my boys, who I'm sure will one day join him on the couch. Sports are my husband's vice; he loves the stats and numbers and the anxiety of cheering on his favorite team. Football is his favorite. Which, in my world means that from September through January (or whenever it ends) I have a little extra time on my hands while he watches every game in the history of man. :) Good thing I have a hobby (or a few--baking, sewing, crafting)!...more
Welcome Fall with the flavors of pumpkin and butterscotch, and change game day traditions by serving dessert first! These Pumpkin Butterscotch Cake Shakes are the perfect way to say goodbye to Summer and welcome the flavors of Fall. Some of my favorite smells and tastes come during this time of year. Whether you're a runner, a cyclist, a hiker, a camper, or a sport enthusiast of any kind, right now is the best time to be outside....more
Football season is here! We now have college football on Friday night and Saturday; professional on Sunday, Monday, and sometimes Thursday. But we also have 3rd grade flag football on Sunday with practice during the week. I think it is pretty safe to say that football has taken over our lives. Aside from getting to sit on the couch and browse Pinterest while the boys watch football, the upside is the food! I am all about having friends over to enjoy some good food, and have football on ... in the background....more
Hey, hey, it's football season! No matter who you root for (and in our house, that means totally different teams), weekends from September through the biggest game of all in February mean football....more
