The theme for May's NaBloPoMo is PHOTO, and this month only, you're getting two prompts for the price of one. You're getting a writing prompt, but you're also getting a photo prompt in case you want to go the visual route.
If you're participating in NaBloPoMo in May -- or even if you're not! -- here are some prompts to get you going. Writing prompts are posted at the beginning of the month so you can plan ahead, Monday to Friday. (Weekends are for free-writing though we've included a photo prompt those days!)
I had a lovely evening today with a couple of girlfriends. We went for sushi, my most consistent favourite cuisine and then headed over to the theatre to watch a documentary. Last week my husband and I took a short trip to Lake Tahoe for some down-time and much-needed relaxation. Since we drove, I packed all the food we would need into a cooler. I didn't want to leave the cabin other than to walk in the fresh air or sit under the trees on the back deck.
I thought that would be enough to relax me.
Of course my phone and iPad came along for the ride.
Nepal was hit with a devastating earthquake on Saturday, the worst of its kind in the last 80 years. It had a magnitude of 7.8. Over 1800 people are dead and the death toll is still rising. The earthquake struck near the capital city of Kathmandu and majority of the deaths are from there and the surrounding valley. Close to 5000 people are said to be injured. The quake set off a series of avalanches in Mount Everest and Northern India. Tibet and Bangladesh were also affected....more
