DC and I were driving to the store this past weekend. He was listening to the Peter Pan CD that he had checked out of the library a few days earlier. Like many of the books he borrows each week, he already owns this CD, but still he must check it out from the library. Today is my son's last day of Elementary school.  Not a big deal for most, but my son as Autism and enrolled in the PPCD program 8 years ago.  I have watched him grow from a very shy and scared little boy to a friendly and excited kid.  We formed friendships with his teachers.  He and I have been through many changes in these last 8 years.  Diagnoses, Divorce, ReMarriage, baby brother, step parents, step siblings, new home, death, struggles, and smiles.  Through it all, we have eachother.  I have always been one of t...more
