Another great week on The Beck Diet Solution! Each time I complete a new chapter in this book I am more and more impressed with the wonderful strategies and helpful thinking being taught, and am so glad I decided to take on the task of learning how to retrain my brain, particularly when it comes to food and eating issues.
I'm definitely off to a good start!

BAH HUMBUG... this is how I woke up this morning, and it had nothing to do with the Holidays. I didn't sleep well last night, after my brother was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance with what turned out to be Diabetic Ketoacidosis and a stomach virus to boot. My husband, Michael, who loves nature and his rather eccentric, counter-culture pal, P.J., had driven about an hour away, up the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, to fish in one of the thousands of lakes which surround us. Some days I have to admit that I have a definite toddler side. It isn’t attractive, and I would prefer to keep it to myself, but as I so often say, if it goes without saying I will almost certainly say it someday....more
