We still have so much good stuff on BlogHer.com to introduce you to, so how about we keep this going for another week and give you an opportunity to win your choice of a full conference pass to either BlogHer Food '11, May 20-21 in Atlanta, Georgia, or our annual conference, BlogHer '11, August 5-6 in San Diego, California?
Editor's Update, Stardate: Saturday, March 7, 2010. Estimated time to launch: 24 hours. You may experience Read Only status as we initiate site launch sequence. Stay tuned as we work in warp speed toward a new BlogHer.com! Hi everyone, We have exciting news: BlogHer's beloved hermoticon and logo are getting a new look this week. So is our tagline. Soon you'll see this logo and tagline on a brand-new BlogHer.com Web site. Voila!
I'd like to let this entry introduce myself; my blog name is Nick Pencils and I work at BlogHer as the Creative Director. That job means working on new and better ways to provide a great experience to you, my fellow community member.
Hi everyone, The BlogHer.com homepage has a clean, new look today, thanks in large part to terrific feedback from this community. After a year of launching new tools -- Chatter, Groups, LinkHer, FacebookConnect and more -- we are celebrating your requests for a simpler, well-lit place to get together. All the better to help readers harvest and share your voices! So, what do you think? We'd love your feedback in the comments below. (Stay tuned -- there's more to come.) Best, Lisa for Elisa, Jory and LisaBlogHer Co-founders

I've loved having these great BlogHer Groups to join and interact in. I'm loving them even more now that there are brand new RSS feeds for each of them. If you use a feedreader to follow your favorite content, you can add BlogHer Group feeds to your feedreader and be notified anytime a new forum post is created or a new piece of content is shared within that group. Visit your favorite group (or groups) and click the orange RSS icon to grab the feed.

Post update 8/21/9 to reflect new Twitter OAuth functionality Last week, the BlogHer product team rolled out our latest tool - this one designed to help you manage your social media identity. If you use BlogHer Chatter and Twitter and even Facebook, we now offer you a one-stop-shopping approach to telling your peeps (and your Tweets) what you're up to. Props to our friends at Cerado who helped us build it! Here's how you use it.

We've been asking you to submit your photos for our mastheads for a good long while, (Thank you for submitting them!) Now we're asking for a very special kind of photo. A photo of YOUR mother, for our Mother's Day Masthead! I've had this on my calendar to blog for a good long while, and I was really excited by the idea. Today I'm even more excited, because there's a BlogHer member's mom in the masthead right now. BlogHer mashadutoit, is thrilled to see her there.

Check it out! Another new social networking tool has been rolled out today in My BlogHer: BlogHer Groups! Groups that you can join. Groups that you can create. Be sure to use the search tools on the Groups page to look for groups you're interested in. You can search by topic or you can search by tag. If you don't see a group that really fits your interests, lifestyle, goals, or mood then you can create a group yourself. Here's an FAQ for creating a group

Women come to BlogHer every day and ask how they can find bloggers to connect with or how they can make it easier for others to connect with them. BlogHer has a lot of tools to help you make those connections and now we have one that we hope will make it even faster and easier - BlogHer Member Search. The search box, on the right side of the page, now includes a member search option. Just fill in the circle next to member search and search for a user name, a blog name, or a tag that relates to your interest and click search.

Today's social networking launch features the ability to contact other BlogHer members and allow them to contact you... without giving away your personal email address to anyone, unless you choose to do so. It's very important that you log into BlogHer --> click settings in the My BlogHer menu --> click public profile --> click inbox settings and then select the level of privacy and the delivery formats you prefer.

The masthead on BlogHer.com has been featuring photos of and by women in our community for about nine months. It's been a lot of fun seeing all of your faces rotating through that banner - so much fun that we've come up with a new schedule that will allow us to change the photos every Friday. But, we're going to need your help!

Have you noticed our brand new topic level mastheads? We're excited about them but we'll be even more excited about them when your photo takes the place of the stock images we're currently using. (Except of course for the BeautyHacks masthead, that one currently features our own fabulous Jen Scharpen but she'd probably be thrilled to have your photo take the place of hers...)
A few days ago, Susanna of A Modern Mother was lamenting the state of "mummyblogging," or parenting-blogging in the United Kingdom:
I have a confession to make: I hate, and I mean I hate having my photograph taken. I really, truly, and positively do. There's nothing I abhor more. Like most people, I pick apart every final image of me that I see -- the grey hairs, the tiniest blemish, the unsightly roll. It is a rare person who can take a photograph of me that I find acceptable.
BlogHer is proud to be one of the finalists for a Game Changers Award at the WeMedia Conference this February in Miami, FL. And in an act of shameless pluggery, we're asking for your rating and comments here.

If you aren't reading this post in a feedreader, you've noticed the brand new homepage design (if you are reading in a feedreader, you should totally come visit BlogHer.com right now.) There are great new promo boxes that will help you find hot content and expanded comments in several areas that will help you join the discussion quickly. Those are great new features but what I'm really excited about is that new box on the right called "Featured BlogHer".
