Motherhood is Immeasurable

Having been inducted into motherhood only just a month ago, it’s still tough for me to encapsulate how the experience has been for me so far. After all, as all moms and moms-to-be know, having a child introduces you to an array of topics and choices. Will you be breastfeeding or giving the baby formula? Should you return to work or be a stay-at-home mom? Will the baby be co-sleeping with you or is that too dangerous both for the baby and your marriage? There’s so much to consider (and write about).  Read more >

Athena's take on the Time magazine cover is one of the better ones, no?

Athena is kind of like a National Geographic photographer. She quietly goes through the house taking pictures of unsuspecting people to catch them in their natural habitat. Sometimes that means you're photographed in the shower, sometimes it means you're photographed cramming a hot dog in your face. Sometimes she even takes videos or uses effects to dress up her work.  Read more >

Writing To Make A Difference...

Okay. so when was the last time you made a big announcement that you were going to do something and failed to do it? I've gone ahead and done this fool hearted thing, like announce to the world that I'm going to write my book! Don't snicker, because I am... It's not like I haven't done it before, only in a much smaller capacity. Writing & publishing my ebook, A Life Toward Authenticity-My Authentic Woman Story in 2011 was a walk in the park compared to what lies ahead..  Read more >

Is Former CNN Anchor Campbell Brown Biased Against Obama Because of Her Husband?

Campbell Brown and her husband Dan Senor

[Editor's note: Former CNN anchor Campbell Brown took to the New York Times yesterday to critique President Obama’s speech last week to the women graduates of Barnard. In Brown’s view, the president was pandering and should have focused more on the awful economy and the fact that most of them are not even going to get jobs. Instead, he was so “condescending” and “grating”!  Read more

Not because they like it better but because most adults don't use it. Now this granddaughter and I are very very close, I'd almost call her my soul-mate we get along so well. And she did set me up the Instagram app on my phone, but I was sworn to not posting ANY comments and not sharing with the other adults in the family that that's where they are.  Read more >

Is Obama Pandering to Women Voters?

President Obama on The View

In case you hadn't heard the shocking news, Obama went on ABC’s The View earlier this week and gabbed about JP Morgan, gay marriage, and Kim Kardashian -- though not necessarily in that order. He also announced that he is going to win the election in November.  Read more >

Why I'm Not Going to Read the TIME Cover Article

You know the one I mean--the one with a picture of a woman breastfeeding a three year old on the cover with the caption "Are You MOM Enough?"  The article/magazine cover first came to my attention last Friday. We were at my in-law's house while our power was out from the storm and a news program came on TV. The broadcaster started talking about the mom on the cover* and (cue the horror movie music) how "she even nursed her two children at the same time!"   Read more >
