End of the tunnel....

I really had grand intentions of writing in this space regularly.  I wanted to chronicle the process of writing and editing my first novel.  Well who knew it would take up so much of my time and energy?!  I'm sure I would have had a tiny bit of time to squeeze in a post at the end of the day, but my brain was so creatively drained that we're lucky I still remembered my own name. ...more

Release Resistance from your life to set you free to succeed!

It took me along time to realize that resistance was holding me back from success, from achieving my goals and desires. Not anyone but me. Hard to face at first except that I think I always knew that I was the biggest reason that I was falling short of my desires. I was making it hard for me to move forward just because I didn't see how powerful I could be if I just let resistance go! Once I accepted this truth it was easy to move forward eliminating my old ways of resistance by making a few changes.  The first step on the path to no resistance was to let go of blame!...more

The Search for the Perfect (insert object here)

Buttons. Names. Patterns.Recently, I've found myself looking for things all the time! For example, as of now I'm attempting to sew a jumper from a pattern for a cousin of mine. After working on it for quite some time, I have definitely gotten impatient, and maybe cut some rather important corners. I did both of the buttonholes before I found a button. Disaster. Why We Decided To Court

My thirsty thirties were upon me and the mounting pressure to have a child and or get married followed me around like my shadow. The questions of "don't you want to get married or have kids" played in my mind at night.  Peggy Arthur, MBA ...more

Not That Girl

I try hard to be "that girl."  You know, the one with the nails that look perfect, the fabulous outfit, and the great life.   The great life?  I'm well on my way.  I work hard, love hard, and eventually I hope to have time to play hard! The nails?  Let me tell you how that works.  A couple of weeks ago, I created my front garden.  I put down 4 cubic feet of black mulch which resulted in seriously gray-stained fingernails!...more
