Do you have any big plans for New Year's Eve? My days of big parties are long behind me, but this does not mean I don’t still celebrate. I may not stay awake until midnight, but you better bet I make pipe cleaner tiaras every year and have a batch of black-eyed peas on the stove.

Gathering together with friends during the holidays is when holiday memories are made!
Now that I’m in my new house, one holiday tradition I’m hoping to establish is hosting a holiday open house. When entertaining, I think having a good plan is key to not getting super-stressed. So, here’s my plan:
Every year, while my kids are home for Christmas break, we do a couple of fun winter or Christmas craft activities together. This easy sock snowman craft reminds me of special times during my own childhood.
This is the gift I made this holiday season that I wanted to keep for myself. But that wouldn't be fair for the originally intended recipient, now would it? So I may be making a second one someday. Until then, I will share with you....more
