Teach Your Kids about Water Conservation
By Living Green w Baby on August 29, 2012
August 26 through 31 is World Water Week; it’s a great opportunity to teach your kids about water conservation.
Water, water everywhere
The human body consists of up to 60% water; the brain is composed of 70% water; the lungs are nearly 90% water. Outside the body, water is an expensive commodity, though it might not seem that way to some of us who are lucky enough to have access to a cheap, plentiful supply. More than a billion people have inadequate access to water; children in some parts of the world spend an entire day walking just for a container of usable water.
Here are some ways you can teach your kids to appreciate this life-giving resource and help make sure there’s enough for everyone on the planet.
