Teaching Texts with Tech

Integrating technology into our classrooms is a must. The jobs, skills and everyday lifestyles of modern life require students to be able to use digital resources and tools creatively, effectively and responsibly. As teachers, we need to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations to ensure classroom relevancy and engagement, and to give students what they need to thrive in the digital age.

Launched in August 2012, TTWT shares technology-geared tools, lesson plans, resources and strategies. I try to share a wide sampling of tools, both for the experienced and tech-savvy educator, and for the teacher just embarking on their digital journey.

An enthusiastic student of English and history, I include a large collection of resources for teachers of texts, however a large portion of my shared teaching tools, news and resources are cross-disciplinary. I’m all about finding creative ways for educators to embrace the digital age while holding to successful strategies and tools that are already common practice.

Posts go live Tuesday and Friday mornings. Check in Sunday afternoons for the Teaching Texts with Tech’s weekly top links and resources post!
