Since I've been doing the Section Editor work for BlogHer's Tech area, I've been spending more time than usual surfing the tech bloggers who've registered at BlogHer. Wow, have I found some gems!

And what could be nicer than having a job where you get to surf your favorite type of blog?

Take, for example, this week's featured blog, Down the Avenue. Wide ranging and eclectic and packed with thoughtful and interesting ideas. Blogger Renee Blodgett has other blogs including Traveling Geeks and We Blog the World. Renee runs a company called Magic Sauce Media.

Dr. Jennifer T. Edwards blogs at A Millennial Professor's View of Higher Education where she talks about technology, higher ed, communication, social media, tenure, and more. Need to know about technology in the classroom? Try this blog.

A Different Perspective is the motto at Black Web 2.0 where web trends are approached from the perspective of how they impact black-owned web sites. Important stories that don't get run in other places can be found here.

Universally Designed is a blog about accessibility and accessibility news from the folks at Knowbility.

Sophia Perl of Wisdom is about software, app development, business, and the Silicone Valley tech world. Sophia is one of those women in tech with a degree in computer science, but her blog is down to earth and full of good information.

What's that? You say you don't spend much time surfing the tech blogs registered at BlogHer? It's fun, but if you don't get around to it, I'll be helping out by finding you the gems in the list.

There is so much on BlogHer that I want to peruse and read and TECH is one of the areas I don't get to as often as I'd like to, so it is wonderful to know that you'll be helping us find the best of the best. Thanks so much Virginia!

katnagel It is interesting. I get to watch all the female tech bloggers I can find! And I'm always looking for more, if you have suggestions.

Thank you, Virginia.

I've been putting off looking up how-to edit videos for my blog. With your legwork, I'm sure one of these sites will lead me in the right direction.

Woo-hoo! You are a peach!
