Don't look now, but that rascal technology seems to be following me everywhere I GO!! Even when I fall asleep at NIGHT I can still feel it's clammy paws reaching out to me!!
I'm done for.
I have tried to think about WHEN there MIGHT be moments in my life that do not involve technology. The only ones that come to mind involve my hubby Tightwad, and I don't feel close enough to all of you to talk about THAT.
So, let's instead discuss the many moments during the day that this incredible creature rears it's head.
I spend a few minutes at school each morning going online to send the attendance and lunch count to various powers that be at our school. This is a "must-do", and if not done in a timely manner results in phone calls, intercom reprimands and a basic thumbs down from the ladies in the office.
Then, I peruse the messages from parents, reply, and basically BEG FOR VOLUNTEERS to man the centers for the week.
THroughout the day I receive numerous texts, calls, messages from the three children I have who conveniently forget during the day that I WORK for a living.
At the end of the day I send photos of goings on at school to parents, update fellow teachers, search for unit related projects and do other various matters (okay, pay some bills) on my computer.
When I get home, it's a knock down drag out to determine WHO goes on FIRST to check assignments, do homework, obsess with Facebook or find music on the laptop.
I'm finding I have less and less time at home to meet the "more and more" i have to do online.
I've made a decision.
It's time for another computer. Now where WAS that leprechaun I saw the other day? He's got a pot of gold I'll be needing.
