Imagine the following scene - you get into the car for a 14+ hour a drive to a wedding with a couple of groomsmen. Also travelling with you is a friend of the groom - an individual you've never met before. Within 45 minutes, after telling a story about how his sister accidentally downloaded some spyware to her computer, he says the following words, "And that's why girls shouldn't be allowed to use computers." EyeSee blogs about technology, engineering, photography, business and whatever else catches her fancy. She recently came across a 1943 Guide to Hiring Women, including "Eleven Tips on Getting More Efficiency Out of Women Employees. Check out this golden nugget of advice:

Go check them out and maybe contribute your thoughts on whether whether social media will bring more women to tech.
For the Canadian entrepreneurial theres Women 2.0 Canada. The original Silicon Valley Women 2.0 now hosts chapters in Toronto and Ottawa. Check out their Women 2.0 Canada Event Wiki to see if anything is happening near you.
