Thank you Priceline and Free Shipping at my Shop all weekend :)

So just a quick shout out to Priceline and their Name Your Own Price feature - you totally made my day!!!

No, I am definitely not getting paid to say this, no worries. Hubby and I needed a rental car for our trip to Florida and of course we waited till the last minute to book one. I went online and checked Orbitz and Priceline's regular search functions for the cheapest prices. Unfortunately, nothing under $350 for 7 days and a mid-sized car :( Then I discovered Priceline's Name Your Own Price feature and thought, what the heck let's give it a try... It said that I could save up to 40% compared to the lowest listed price on their website as well as competitors, and that we would be guaranteed a car from one of the 5 leading rental companies. So I put in that I wanted to spend $25 a day for a mid sized car, put in all of our info and hit submit. I figured that it would take a few days until we would get a response about whether or not the offer was accepted, but nooooo after processing for a minute or so we got a confirmation page that said our offer had been accepted :)

We ended up spending $239 instead of $350 (including taxes&fees) which saved us about 32%  :)

I honestly didn't think it was going to work and now I am absolutely stoked. If you ever use this feature just be aware that the price you put does not include taxes and fees yet, they get added in before you make your final decision though so you can go back and adjust your price if you need to. They also offer this for hotel stays.

Now I definitely can't wait to leave on this trip ;)

Oh and while you're here, why don't you hop on over to my shop and get yourself or someone you love one of the pretties?

If you mention my blogher blog in the comments section at checkout this weekend I will refund your domestic shipping cost and add in a little surprise to your order ;) This applies to anything you order from the shop.

Have a wonderful weekend :)
