It's graduation season. High school was a disturbingly long time ago for me, but I remember people trying to outdo each other with their graduation parties waaaaay back in the '90s. Judging from my seven-year-old's friends' birthday parties, I can imagine high school graduation parties have come a long way, baby. Beth from Simply Budgeted gives some tips on how to have a great party without breaking the bank.

She shares tips like this:

Professional photographers can be expensive and INTRUSIVE. Instead, use a family member (or rotate family members) to capture special moments at your party. Another option: find a photographer or videographer on Craig's list. They will usually work at your event for free (and provide you with a link to your photos), provided you let them use your event photos on their website.
