Tide is Gentle on My Favorite Sweater & Gets the Job Done!

Every year, I have a strong tendency to buy something new and fall in love with it. I want to wear it every single day and find new ways to wear it. This year, it's this waffle sweater. I absolutely love the color, the texture, and the fit. I've put together a few possible different ways to wear this sweater. It's great for church, for running errands, or for a date night, just depending on the way it's styled. This first way that I like to wear it is with a simple, black, cotton pencil skirt. The sweater is the perfect length so I don't need a belt....more

3 Ways to Wear a White Button Up

The classic white button-up shirt has been my go-to for as long as I can remember. My fashion foundation. My old faithful. My sure thing. Between juggling a baby and a toddler, I don't often get the chance to spend as much time as I would like putting together my outfits, so the white button-up's versatile nature has become an essential piece to my wardrobe. You can dress it up, dress it down, layer over it, layer under it, or even tuck it in. And of course, as a busy Momma of messy boys, I insist that my clothes be machine washable (none of this dry clean only business)....more

One Shirt, Three Ways (+ A $100 Visa Gift Card Giveaway)

Tide asked me to put together an outfit that could be styled 3 different ways in homage to their 3-in-1 Tide Pods and I thought that sounded like a fun challenge until I realized that there is a reason I am not a fashion blogger and that reason is because remember how I sort of accidentally-on-purpose donated all my clothes last year? I looked in my closet and realized I am working with a very limited wardrobe here, people. And also because I look awkward in selfies....more

Three in One Outfit: Aunt Louise

I have traveled more in this last year than I have in the past 10 years before that. Every time I head out on a trip, I have this desire to buy all new outfits! I do not need to spend money on clothes for each and every trip (I mean, really), even though I want to. Ha! It's just not necessary. I have a ton of lovely clothes at home and I try to create new and updated ways to wear the clothes I already have. WHICH means I need to take care of my clothes. My favorite pieces (my "fancy" clothes) are always hung to dry....more

Tide Pods are Extremely Easy to Use

I have laundry day at least once or twice a week. I have never been too particular about a brand or product I use when it comes to washing laundry. For the most part I am not a picky person when it comes to laundry detergent. Most of the times I just tend to use whatever is there or has a nice scent. Tide has introduced a cool way to wash and clean your clothes and that is a product called Tide Pods! I am sure you are wondering what exactly are Tide Pods, right?...more

Making Spring Fashion Fresh With 3-in-1 Tide Pods

For me, a busy blogging mom with a decided artsy side, my daily fashion has to be functional and yet entirely indicative of my creativity. When I’m editing my closet and figuring out what should be tossed and what should be purchased, my main goal is to find pieces that work with each other. One thing I’ve learned through the years is that you really do not need a ton of clothes, just the right items that work with each other and can be combined to form an endless possibility of options....more

Tide Seriously Just Went & Made Life & Laundry Easier

The three-in-one chamber design of the Tide Pods with its nod to machine washable fashion and style totally makes me think of three-in-one style of fashion. Like how you can take a simple little black dress, appropriate for any season whether it be spring, summer, winter or fall, and wear it out for any occasion. Below are some ideas. Unfortunately, with clothes, comes laundry. While all fashion is unique and fun, laundry is simply not. Hauling loads upon loads of clothes to the laundry room, which, for most of us, is downstairs…separating, switching, folding, hauling back upstairs....more

What's Your 3-in-1?

I love clothes. Not a surprise, is it? I think it might be genetic, though, so not entirely my weakness. My grandma, Mary Deane, always claimed the title of Clothes Horse, and she was also known as one of the most classy women around. My sister and I used to clean her modest 2 story house every other week to earn a little bit of extra cash. Of course, it was merely going through the act of cleaning, because she was possibly the most tidy person I've ever known. The only time it really needed cleaning was when she had guests. I didn't mind cleaning her house....more

Tide Pods: Could it be Any Easier?

My husband and I are empty nesters but for some reason we still have a ton of laundry. We are both busy with our jobs, church, meetings and outdoor activities so our laundry baskets stay full. I have a hard time keeping up with sorting, washing, drying, hanging and folding (just ask my husband!). I am always looking for ways to make doing our laundry easier. Especially when the weather starts to warm up, I don't want to spend any more time than I absolutely have to indoors. I love Tide detergent and I've used it for years. It has kept my clothes looking and smelling great!...more

Stand Out This Spring (+$100 Giveaway!)

If you buy one new piece for your spring/summer wardrobe this year, buy a good quality chambray shirt. You may have already jumped on this trend last year, but if not, now is the time! The chambray shirt is so versatile (the one above is from Madewell) which is why I love it so much. As you can see, I showed some examples above for how you can create 3 different looks with it. The first outfit is pairing it with a maxi. This is probably my favorite look because it's unexpected. The second look would be to wear some layers with the chambray top, and then pair with skinny jeans....more
