Time to get Organized
By kaylagilbert on January 03, 2013
Happy New Year Lovelies!
If you weren't aware 2012 has come and gone. Sometimes I get the Christmas blues and feel sad that I have to take down all the pretty decorations, start focusing on saving all my money back up, no more fun time off of work.. yada yada.. BUT I don't want to get the blues this year. I have so much to be thankful for and I'm going to focus on the positives; besides Christmas will be here again next year, right?! Only 363 more days!
I said before that I don't make new year resolutions. I DO however like to start of a new year organized. I did a little organizing on my few days off around the house. I have a huge pile in our "storage" room of things that I either need to donate/sell and my sweet Hubby helped get rid of all the Christmas trash (boxes, plastic wrap, etc.). This room has bugged me for a while now.. it just seems to collect junk that we don't even know we have.
See? Lots of junk (or treasures) that we don't need... will post more on this lovely pile later..
Besides getting the house organized I like getting my life organized as well. If you're like me you have a million things going on and can't keep track of it all in your head.. arrghh. The weekends when I don't have something to do are the BEST! Yes - I could use my fancy iPhone to keep track of my life and alert me when I have something important to do but there is just something special to me about a real life paper planner that makes me SO happy. Here are a couple of planners that are just sooo neat!
These life planners by Erin Condren are wonderful! There lots & lots of designs to choose from and almost all designs are customizable. Some of my favorite features are:
- specific calendar for anniversaries and birthdays
- two page monthly spreads
- weekly spreads divided into morning, day & night
- 240 colorful stickers to highlight special events
- a folder to throw receipts & stamps in
- laminated tabs
You can even add 'extras' to your order like colorful pens or these super cute photo stickers.
This planner is $50.00 without the 'extras.' Go to www.erincondren.com to find out more!
If you want a nice planner but aren't that hype on on the pizzazz and don't quite want to spend $50.00. I would suggest this daily planner by momAgenda. momAgenda started their planners geared towards moms and their busy schedules. However, now they have planners for non-moms like me! These planners are super stylish and sleek and offer lots of space to keep track of your events, appointments, etc.
This planner is currently on sale for $25.80. So get there soon! www.momagenda.com
