Tips for Living In Tornado Alley
Nathan Gunter blogs from his home in Oklahoma, smack dab in the middle of Tornado Alley. With 2011 looking to be one of the deadliest and most destructive years on record for tornadoes, Nathan offers survival tips as well as helpful links to help those in Joplin, Missouri:
"Lowest level, center part, smallest room, away from windows and exterior walls – that’s where you go in a tornado. You cover yourself with a blanket to minimize getting cut up by debris. You stay away from downed power lines. You don’t try to get out ahead of it in your car. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t hide under an overpass."
