Tips for Using Stickers to Promote Your Small Business
by ilovegraphics

Stickers can be a very useful marketing tool. People like stickers, especially if they look high quality. And if the sticker is very attractive, it may be placed on notebooks, laptops, car bumpers, and on helmets. In this way, the sticker can advertise a business to everyone who comes in contact with your sticker.

Keep the Design Simple
You want the sticker to be easy to read from a distance, so keep the design simple and uncluttered. Just put a few words on it or one simple image, and stick to three colors or less. Another way to increase readability is to make the background color a darker color, and make the lettering white when you do your sticker printing.

Use a Smaller Size
Keeping the sticker printing the size of a 4" by 6" card or smaller allows it to be more versatile. While some people might want to put a large sticker on their car, a lot of others may not. Those other people might put a smaller sticker on their notebook or laptop, and a smaller sticker can still be put on a car.

Have it Dye Cut
Increase the attractiveness of your sticker by having it dye cut into a shape other than a rectangle or a square. Circles don't usually cost any more, and you can ask for any other type of shape for a small initial fee.

Use the Back
Make your sticker printing do double duty. The back of the sticker can be used for printing your business name and contact information. You could also print out a coupon on the back.

Pass Stickers out at Fairs and Expos
Armed with your attractive stickers, pass them out at county fairs, job fairs, and business expos. Other places to pass them out might be college campuses and high school football games.

Mass Mail Your Stickers
Include stickers when you mail out newsletters or brochures. Some people who would toss the brochure or letter might save the sticker and even put it somewhere for others to see.
