The NFL season opener was played last night. The Colts beat the Saints pretty solidly. And so it begins, my favorite time of year - fantasy football season.

That's right. No matter how many wives and girlfriends complain about it, fantasy football isn't just for the men anymore. I am playing in five fantasy football leagues and I am not the only female in any of my leagues this year.
More and more women are playing fantasy sports.
Mommy at Work was so proud of her drafting prowess that she posted both of her teams.
Kate plays in an all girl league
Elle gives us a breakdown of some of the players.
The Queen of Spain drafted a "Dreamy Team".
...in the late rounds I got stupid and ended up with the All-American, Hunky QB team. I didn’t mean too. But in the end I was feeling frisky and silly and when that happens my teams tend to suffer. I pick the guy who’s wife just got cancer. Or I pick the guy who’s Mamma died and now he’s playing for her. Or I pick my cutie pie, Notre Dame, QB- freshfaced and and ready to get his ass handed to him.
I HATE THAT.
I know. It happens. I successfully avoided drafting any of my NFL crushes this year. I used to draft Ricky Williams religiously, but then he got suspended and went sort of crazy and now it is no longer a problem for me.
No matter what. I love playing fantasy football. In fact - I love it ao much that I am seriously considering playing fantasy hockey this year.
