Mocking or Emulating: Teens Go Crazy for Kylie Jenner's Lips

Featured Member Post

Our First Lady is always keeping it 100%. Recently she said that her daughters Sasha and Malia were not influential, despite what Time magazine says.

They are not influential,” the First Lady said, laughing. “They just live here [ The White House] . They have done nothing to gain any influence.”

I wish that Sasha and Malia had more influence than another famous teen, Kylie Jenner. Unfortunately, some girls were so motivated to have puffy, bloated lips like hers that they took the #KylieJennerChallenge.

To achieve the look, according to the Washington Post:

[Girls] are placing their lips into the shot glass, they suck the air out of the glass, creating friction. However, because the glass isn’t flexible ... the shot glass can break under all the pressure, causing serious injuries that require stitches to repair.

To add insult to injury, they are posting photos of the results on social media using the hashtag #kyliejennerchallenge. From the ones I have seen, the girls look awful.

I don't know who started the challenge, but at least this is one time when the influential Kylie Jenner let her fans know that this is dangerous.

Solution: Kylie Jenner used her social media platform for good.

Advice: Don't let Instagram be your vision board. Kylie Jenner's lifestyle is not attainable and shouldn't be so influential. And if you do want to experiment with a new look, do it safely: Take a look at what makeup can do!
