Tracy Bernstein entered publishing as a summer intern at Houghton Mifflin at age 19, fell in love with editing and has never tired of it. She edits both non-fiction, mainly in the areas of memoir, health and parenting, and fiction of many genres. Among her New York Times bestselling authors are Montel Williams, Marie Osmond, Wynonna Judd and Scott Hamilton. She has worked for many wonderful publishers, including Pocket, Kensington, Henry Holt, and Farrar, Straus & Giroux. She is currently Executive Editor at New American Library, a division of Penguin USA, where in addition to acquiring new books she oversees the Signet Classics and therefore has been known to boast of being Jane Austen’s editor.
