[Editor's note: This adorable trend reminds me so much of the 90's it hurts ...but in a good way. Floral print Docs?!?! I had them! Its return lends itself to the younger generation but I found certain pieces (like this vintage floral print skirt) bridge the generation/trend gap - Maegan Tintari | Style Editor]

Rosy floral prints with black backgrounds are EVERYWHERE right now and the perfect staples for transitioning into the Fall.  You can mix and match them with practically anything, dress them up or down, and layer with solid counterparts...  It is so easy!

Here are a couple ideas on how to wear these fun FLORALS

#2. This cocktail dress has so much potential!!! For a summer garden party, add some bold accessories like a chunky jet black necklace and layered bracelets, a fitted black blazer and kitten heels for work, and to transition into the Fall, pair with a fitted black turtleneck, rust colored tights and black boots.

#3. This top can be worn in so many ways! Paired with skinny jeans and wedges for a dinner date, worn tucked into a solid black pencil skirt for work, with bell-bottoms for a boho chick look, and the list goes on and on!

#8. These wedges are a must!  They can give that extra special look to any outfit: Pair with skinny jeans and a classic T, a fitted sheath dress, or even add some black tights and wear them into the Fall / Winter Months.

I just bought a floral print dress--black background, red and white flowers.  It's a grown-up version of a dress I had as a teen.  And I LOVE it.

I'm loving it! If those boots were to walk into my closet I would not be disappointed!

especially on black background are very typical for traditional Russian scarves patterns. It is interesting that they are popular again. Obviously this is part of the folk art trend revieval in the recent years in many spheres of design, but probably most vividly in interior design ( http://trendoffice.blogspot.com/search?q=folk+art ). I like that - it helps us remember what the generations before us have created.

My personal style tends towards the dramatic. Florals are not my "go-to" pattern. That said, I would happily wear top #3 with linen palazzo pants for the summer or with jeans in the evening.

Moreover I do have a couple floral pieces in my closet that I am loving right now. One is a Freepeople dolman-sleeved sheer number in orange with medium -sized clumps of roses. The other is a long sheer vintage-styled sheer black sleeveless dress with large red and orange roses.

Someone with a more feminine style could easily pull off the cocktail dress or the shorts. Sporty gals should probably stick with the boots. While classic ladies could indulge this trend with comfortably with the handbag or sunglasses.

I am not crazy adventurous when it comes to clothing styles, especially patterns like floral print, but I love love #3..... I love how versatile it is, good for a night in or out. The docs are a little out here for me, but I would rock the sunglasses. :)
Thanks for your comments!

Love the sunglasses! I would not have thought about doing this trend with them.
