I don’t agree with Donald Trump’s fixation with Obama’s birth certificate. It diverts attention from what really matters – the economy.

But the irony of it all smacked me in the face when I read this gem from Stephanie Cutter, Obama’s deputy campaign manager.

“If Mitt Romney lacks the backbone to stand up to a charlatan like Donald Trump because he's so concerned about lining his campaign's pockets, what does that say about the kind of president he would be?"

Um, anyone else recall Obama’s “hot mic” incident in March when he was heard asking then Russian President, Dmitri Medvedev, for “space?”

The two were discussing missile defense “off the record” and Obama was quoted as saying, “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”

Not exactly my definition of intimidation tactics.

The president is on tape kowtowing to the Russians and we’re worried about Romney’s rapport with a real estate magnate?

Perhaps we should apply Stephanie’s logic when evaluating her boss.
