I am a Londoner who ended up ten years ago living in Tuscany with my Italian husband and our daughter. My husband is in fact a Neapolitan but more the ancient Greek philosophical type so Tuscany seemed a good choice offering a quieter life halfway between these two bustling cities. I started out as a musician and then I became a fine bookbinder and conservator. However since living in Italy I have worked mainly with tourists and just occasionally dipping my toes back into the world of books. Life in Tuscany has bought many challenges and frustrations but also delights. I kick myself sometimes to remind me that I live in the heart of where the Renaissance began. The great thing about living in Italy is when it gets tough there is always the food to cheer one up and of course that prosecchino!
