Uncover a Gem
It is important to distinguish between forgiveness and reconciliation. Between what you can do and what you can not accomplish alone. Forgiveness is to give up resentment against a person. Reconcilliation is to re-establish friendship between people.
I recommend forgiveness, it is a personal choice.
Forgiving is healing to the person doing it. It doesn't require the other person's knowledge, disapproval or approval. It allows the person forgiving to give up negative attachment to the other person. It allows the forgiving person to move forward on their own. To mend. To become more complete. To be free of the obsession about the hurt. It is self loving and healthy.
Forgiveness is about helping yourself. Forgiving someone is good for you .
